JSM Portal Bookings
Customers and employees make bookings directly through the JSM customer portal — no Jira license required for the person making the booking.Dual Asset Support
Works with both asset types:- Jira work items — any Jira issue used to represent a bookable resource (meeting room, vehicle, equipment)
- JSM Assets — objects from the JSM Assets schema (requires JSM Premium or Enterprise)
JQL / AQL Asset Filtering
Use JQL (for Jira work items) or AQL (for JSM Assets) to precisely define which assets are available for booking in each request type. Example:project = Facilities AND issuetype = "Meeting Room".
Double-Booking Prevention
The system automatically checks for conflicts when a booking is submitted. If the asset is already reserved for the requested time slot, the user is notified and cannot proceed.CRON-Based Booking Schedule
Define permitted booking start times using CRON expressions. For example: allow bookings only on the hour during business hours, or at 30-minute intervals excluding lunch.Custom Booking Intervals
Set the minimum and maximum booking duration per asset type — from 1 minute to 1 month.Calendar and List Views
Users and agents can view existing bookings in two modes:- Calendar view — visual timeline showing reserved and available slots, highlighted in red
- List view — tabular view with booking details and links to the corresponding JSM tickets
Asset Availability from Jira
JSM agents and Jira users can see all current reservations for an asset directly from the asset’s Jira work item screen — without switching to the portal.Self-Service Management
Customers can:- Make new booking requests through the JSM portal
- Cancel their own booking requests
Secure Data Handling
- Booking data stored securely; no private user information retained
- 30+ day backup retention
- All permissions comply with Atlassian Connect security requirements
