Event Monitoring

Event-Triggered Notifications
Fires immediately when a defined event occurs and the configured conditions are met.Digest Notifications
Collects changes to a group of issues over a defined time period and sends them as a single summary email. Useful for:- Issues commented during a specified period
- High-priority issues approaching deadlines, grouped by assignee
- Issues with no activity for N days
Canned Notifications
Pre-built templates available directly from the Jira issue view, allowing any authorized user to trigger a notification on demand without admin configuration.Recipients
Notifications can be sent to any combination of:| Recipient Type | Description |

Email Customization

Sending Options

Audit and Monitoring
- Send Audit tab — log of all sent notifications with status, recipient, and error details
- Audit comment — optional: stores a copy of each sent notification as a private comment on the Jira issue
- Admin delivery alerts — hourly digest emails sent to configured admins when delivery failures occur
Access Control
By default, only users with ADMINISTER or JIRA_ADMIN permissions can configure notification rules. Additional Jira user groups can be granted access through the app’s Settings. The Raley issue panel (for canned / instant notifications) is available to any Jira user with access to the issue.Need Help?
